Mysterious valley within Yunnan's Lanping

Lancang River Grand Valley, a mysterious valley within Yunnan's Lanping,
is not only famous for its depth and length, but also for torrents of the
river. With an annual runoff volume of 838 million cubic meters, the
river is clear and torrential in winter while in summer it is turbid and
turbulent. Fall of the 150-kilometer flow length is 504 meter with a
slope of 3.4%. On the narrow surface of the river, turbulent billows
strike the banks, producing thunderous sound of water. It is rare to see
a terrain of high mountains and vertical valley in such a steep way and
such peculiar and superb geographical structure.
