www.chinanews.cn 2005-10-10 14:56:52

The 8th Macau Portuguese Carnival kicked off in da Praia and Carmo area
of Taipa Island on Oct. 8. Besides traditional games, Portuguese
community booths and special foods, there are also folk dance
performances, concerts and other activities. The sponsor hopes that those
activities could stimulate Macau residents and tourists from outside of
Macau to communicate with Portuguese groups and know about Portuguese
culture.

Macau chief executive Edmund Ho danced Angolan folk dances with Angolan
girls at a Portuguese community booth at the 8th Macau Portuguese
Carnival, Oct. 8.
