Female migrant workers in Anhui

Shortly after the Lantern Festival holiday, six female migrant workers
resumed work in high spirits on the Linhuan Industrial Park construction
site of Anhui's Huaibei Mining Group on Feb. 15. The park is undergoing
construction of China's largest coking plant and coal waste power plant,
and expansion of a coal preparation plant and a water disposal plant, as
well as tens of supporting projects. Female workers account for about one
fifth of the 3,000-odd workers engaged in those projects, and most women
workers here are local housewives.
