Four elaborate lanterns for exhibition and 40 lanterns for conference
room decoration, which were selected by the embroidered frameless lantern
academy in Zhejiang's Xianju County, will be delivered to Beijing on the
afternoon of Feb. 6 for the exhibition of China's intangible cultural
heritage protection organized by the Ministry of Culture in the National
Museum of China from Feb. 12 to 21. These frameless lanterns from Xianju
County are famous for that they have no frameworks in the whole body but
are pasted with slips of paper of various patterns and designs
hand-embroidered with a needle.
