China's first Buddhist Music Guild Hall

A debut performance was staged at Nanyue (Southern Sacred Mountain)
Hengshan Mountain Buddhist Music Guild Hall, China's first guild hall for
Buddhist music performances on Jan. 8, 2006.
Chinanews, Jan. 10 - Nanyue (Southern Sacred Mountain) Hengshan Mountain
Buddhist Music Guild Hall, China's first guild hall for Buddhist music
performances, completed construction and staged a debut performance for
the new year on Jan. 8.
Four most eminent monks from the mountain hosted a purifying and blessing
ceremony for the guild hall.
Over 500 representatives from China Buddhism Association and various
sectors of Hunan Province and Hengyang City as well as tourists watched
the ceremony and performance.
Wang Pingbo, head of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain Buddhist Music Guild Hall,
revealed that this guild hall will serve as a platform for modern people
to cultivate the heart and nature, facilitate their peace of mind and
inner tranquility and experience culture of Buddhist music.
