Anhui's spree of floatage

www.chinanews.cn 2005-08-17 17:40:42

Tourists are having fun on bamboo rafts at the tourist attraction called
"No.1 Floatage in southern Yangtze regions" in Anhui's Jing County on
Aug. 16. Recently, due to the power of "fall tiger" (the temperature
remains high for a short period after the solar term "autumn begins" in
Chinese lunar calendar), the number of tourists that came for floatage at
the "No.1 Floatage in southern Yangtze regions," the last section of
Huishui River valley in Anhui's Jing County, grew sharply, unlike the
former situation that tourist volume declined because of frequent
rainfall. Every day, over 100 bamboo rafts filed out and the tourists
feel carefree as they splash the cool river water for a water battle.
