Beijing house price drops 1st time in 6 months

Photo shows on Beijing citizens are studying the arrangement of Beijing's
commercial housing on the housing exhibition. After rising for five
consecutive months, Beijing's commercial housing prices dropped for the
first time in six months. On Aug. 4th, Beijing Construction Committee,
Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics, Beijing Municipal Administration
of State Land and Beijing Municipal Commission of Development & Reform
jointly issued "Beijing's Real Estate Market Information from January to
June in 2005." Such "Information" revealed that due to effect of
macro-control policy of real estate, in June average price of commercial
forward delivery housing declined by 237 yuan per square meter, at a rate
of 3.3%.
