Feb. 25 - China launched a total of seven anti-dumping investigation
cases in 2005, according to sources with the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
The seven anti-dumping cases were targeted at imported urethane elastic
fiber, catechol, PBT resin, durable paper, capryl alcohol, butyl alcohol,
and nonylphenol, respectively, said the ministry's Bureau for Industrial
Damage Investigations Thursday.
Europe, the United States, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Russia and
China's Taiwan Province were involved in the seven cases, the
bureau.noted By Dec. 31 last year, China had launched 42 anti-dumping
probes into 40 imported products, said the ministry. Twent-five cases
resulted in the imposition of anti-dumping taxes on the imported products.
Officials with the ministry said that by launching these probes, the
Chinese government was creating a fair environment for domestic
businesses and protecting their interests.
