Oriental Pearl Tower's economic benefit tops world's towers

Since Shanghai's landmark Oriental Pearl Tower was built twelve years
ago, its annual revenues from main businesses have increased from 44.57
million Yuan to 1.087 billion Yuan (USD 134 million) last year. The
annual net profit rose from 18.62 million Yuan to 318 million Yuan in
2004, increasing 17.1-fold, creating China's first and only well-known
brand name of culture industry. Its economic benefit has already exceeded
that of France's Eiffel Tower, topping all towers in the world.
