www.chinanews.cn 2005-08-09 14:31:36
"Shenglin No. 1," the first wild giant panda bursting into downtown in
the world, stepped out of the cage and returned to nature on Aug. 8. This
female panda at the age of four to five is in full ferity and has strong
ability to live on itself. Experts believed that this giant panda can
adapt itself to the wild. In order to monitor the habitation status of
"Shenglin No. 1" after it was released back to the wild, scientists put a
GPS ring, which will fall off automatically at a certain time around its
neck to conduct satellite and ground positioning tracking.
