Ferry accident exercise on Yangtze River

Jiangsu Nantong Marine Affairs Bureau and the Tongsha ferry
administration department jointly organized an exercise for ferry
accident rescue, including stopping leakage of the cracked ferry,
evacuating passengers, rescuing people in the water and beaching the
ferry. 98 passengers, 28 vehicles and two ferries participated in the
exercise. This exercise emphasized rescue and evacuation of passenger and
is the first ferry accident rescue exercise commenced on the main stream
of Yangtze River.
